White Hill Capital, the managing company overseeing the venture fund Tumar, has invested $500,000 in the Kazakhstani startup CodiPlay.
With the addition of a private investor's investment of an additional one million US dollars, the total deal size for CodiPlay reached 1 million US dollars.
CodiPlay, a gamified educational project for teaching children programming, was created in 2021 by young Kazakhstani developers. In addition to the mobile application, the team has launched CodiKit sets for creating IoT projects based on robotics. To monitor the learning process of schoolchildren, they have developed CodiTeach, a resource for schools and educational centers with online courses for teacher professional development. Today, students from Kazakhstan and South Korea are learning programming through CodiPlay. The future plans include implementing the comprehensive system in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, the UAE, and Turkey.
